Ignite Church is a contemporary Christian church overwhelmed by the gift of salvation we have found in Jesus. Through faith in the finished work of the cross, we believe you begin your relationship with the Father. We have a heart for authentic worship, fellowship, and a passion for the local church. We are on a mission to see God's kingdom established across the Earth, starting with the city of Newark. Our vision is to lead a generation to an encounter with God and His legacy.
OUR PASTORS
Jorge Caban is the Senior pastor of Ignite Church in Newark, New Jersey. Pastor Jorge started off with a youth movement called Ignite Revolution in 2011 where over 1,000 youth would come to encounter Christ every month. Two years later Ignite Church was birthed. Pastor Jorge along with his wife, Zulma, have used their testimonies to change the lives of so many people at Ignite. They have cultivated a culture of love and compassion for the community around them. Pastor Jorge also attended Grace Hill Bible College where he received his degree in Theology. Pastor Jorge is also a father of 2, Sergio and Elleniz.
